Academic Programme
The British Concordance International School (BCIS) aspires to be a centre of academic excellence, where students from diverse backgrounds develop a lifelong love of learning, critical thinking skills, and the knowledge and character needed to thrive in a globalised world.

BCIS opened its doors in August 2022 in a dedicated and purpose-build campus in Chiang Mai. We are licensed by the Ministry of Education to teach up to Year 13 (6th Form).
BCIS Early Years Curriculum
The UK Early Years Curriculum, also known as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), is a framework that guides education for children from birth to age 5. It emphasises fostering well-rounded development through play-based learning.
BCIS Primary Curriculum
The UK Primary Curriculum, encompassing Key Stages 1 (ages 5-7) and 2 (ages 7-11), provides a framework for children’s education from primary school to the start of secondary school. It focuses on developing essential knowledge and skills across a variety of subjects.
BCIS Secondary Curriculum
The British Secondary Curriculum, covering Key Stages 3 (ages 11-14) and 4 (ages 14-16), plays a pivotal role in shaping your child's academic journey towards adulthood. Click the link for a detailed overview of its key features and benefits.
IGCSE
Our Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International GCSEs are UK international academic qualifications for Year 10 and 11 students. International GCSEs facilitate seamless progression towards International A Levels. IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) courses are designed to provide a broad and balanced education for students aged 14 to 16. These courses serve as a foundation for further academic study or entry into the workforce.
A-Levels
Students can choose from a range of A-level subjects from Pearson/Edexcel, preparing them to access a wide array of degree-level qualifications at universities across the United Kingdom, France, the USA, Europe, and beyond. We also offer Pearson BTEC qualifications for those who wish to pursue studies in more practical fields such as creative technology, health and social care, and travel and tourism.
Unique BCIS Pathways to Success
BCIS is committed to providing a diverse and enriching learning environment that caters to all students, regardless of their academic strengths or learning styles. As part of this commitment, and as a Pearson/Edexcel Approved Centre, we are excited to announce the integration of Pearson BTEC Tech Awards and BTEC Level 1 & 2 Certificate programmes into our curriculum for Year 10-11 students. This exciting addition enhances our existing offerings and creates alternative pathways to success for students who excel in practical application and hands-on learning.
