Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
A recognised teaching qualification in English (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Trinity CertTESOL)
Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English in a reputable international school.
A strong understanding of the British National Curriculum.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
A passion for the English language and a commitment to student success.
Experience teaching English as Second or Other Language (ESOL) is desirable.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum Key Stage 3.
Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love for the English language and literature.
Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to the development of the English curriculum for the secondary programme.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to English language teaching.
Participate in the school's professional development programmes.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and learning from their mistakes.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
