Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality science education primarily across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9), with potential for IGCSE delivery as the programme expands
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that challenge all students across the ability range
Implement innovative teaching methodologies aligned with BCIS educational philosophy and CIS standards
Integrate educational technology and AI tools to enhance learning experiences
Support students with diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices
Maintain accurate assessment records and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
Curriculum Development and Innovation
Contribute to curriculum planning and development aligned with UK National Standards and CIS Learning Dimension requirements
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular connections and interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Participate in curriculum review cycles and educational innovation initiatives
Implement assessment-informed learning practices that enhance student outcomes
Support the integration of global citizenship education within science curricula
Student Support and Pastoral Care
Possibly act as form tutor for an assigned group, supporting their academic progress and personal development
Monitor student well-being and contribute to safeguarding initiatives under the school's comprehensive well-being strategy
Provide individual and small group support for students requiring additional academic assistance
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain regular communication with families
