    Football Pitch & Sports Fields

BCIS opened a brand-new full-size football pitch in 2024, providing a professional-standard playing surface for PE lessons, training and competitive fixtures. The pitch is home to the BCIS Falcons — our school football teams who compete in tournaments across Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.

    • Full-size grass football pitch opened in 2024 at Sports Day
    • Home ground of the BCIS Falcons football teams (junior and senior)
    • Hosts the annual Falcons Football Tournament with visiting schools
    • Multi-purpose use for athletics, rugby, cricket and outdoor PE
    • Professional coaching sessions including visits from Chiang Mai FC players

Campus note: The Falcons compete in inter-school tournaments including the Rising Stars Alpine Tournament. In 2025, the team hosted a visit from Chiang Mai FC's Mathawin 'Save' Chueanun for a special coaching camp.

BCIS indoor sports hall with basketball court and badminton nets

    Indoor Sports Hall

Our multi-purpose indoor sports hall provides a climate-controlled environment for PE lessons, team training and competitive fixtures year-round — essential during Chiang Mai's hot season and rainy months. The hall hosts basketball, badminton, volleyball, futsal and gymnastics, as well as whole-school assemblies and events such as Sports Day ceremonies.

    • Full-size indoor court with markings for basketball, badminton and futsal
    • Sprung wooden floor designed to reduce impact and support safe play
    • Basketball hoops and badminton nets with quick-change setup
    • Used for PE lessons, inter-school tournaments and the annual Sports Day
    • Climate-controlled for comfortable training throughout the year

Campus note: The sports hall is used by students across all year groups. It serves as the primary venue for BCIS basketball and badminton teams competing in inter-school leagues.

    Outdoor learning at BCIS

    Outdoor Learning Areas

Chiang Mai's beautiful natural environment is one of our greatest teaching resources. Our outdoor learning areas include gardens, nature trails and shaded classrooms where lessons come alive beyond the four walls of a traditional classroom.

    • Shaded outdoor classrooms and seating areas
    • Nature trail connecting green spaces across the campus
    • Playground areas designed for different age groups
    • Regular use for Forest School-style learning in Early Years

Campus note: Outdoor learning is integrated across the curriculum — from EYFS nature exploration to secondary geography fieldwork.

    Technology and computing at BCIS

    Technology Resources

Technology is woven into learning at BCIS, not taught in isolation. Our students use devices, software and digital tools as part of everyday lessons — developing the digital literacy and computing skills they need for the modern world.

    • Dedicated ICT suite with desktop computers
    • Class sets of tablets and laptops for flexible use
    • Coding and robotics kits for STEM enrichment
    • High-speed Wi-Fi across the campus
    • Age-appropriate online safety and digital citizenship curriculum

Campus note: All classrooms are equipped with interactive displays. Students learn coding and computational thinking from Key Stage 1 onwards.
