About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Pre-Nursery Teacher to join our thriving international school community. This role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in nurturing and educating young children at the very beginning of their educational journey, following the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Early Years Teacher (QET) or equivalent international teaching qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching young children (ideally pre-nursery or nursery age).
Strong understanding of child development theories and the EYFS curriculum framework.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a nurturing learning environment.
Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student body.
A positive and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for learning.
Responsibilities
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for pre-nursery aged children (typically 2-3 years old).
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of age-appropriate teaching methods, such as storytelling, music, art, and play-based learning, aligned with the EYFS framework.
Foster the holistic development of each child, including their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
Plan and implement routines for nap times, mealtimes, and toilet training.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues, including teaching assistants and other early years professionals.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, embracing the international student body.
