    BCIS Partners with Asia Books for the School Book Fair

    British Concordance International School Chiang Mai brought Asia Books onto campus for a week-long Book Fair, alongside a second-hand sale that gave pre-loved library books new homes at affordable prices.

    In the first week of September, British Concordance International School (BCIS) Chiang Mai welcomed Asia Books onto campus for a school-wide Book Fair. Students moved between tables stacked with new titles over several days, browsing everything from picture books to young-adult fiction and choosing new favourites to take home.

    New books for every age group

    Asia Books, one of Thailand's established booksellers, brought stock for every age group to the fair, alongside stationery and educational toys. Running alongside it was a second-hand book sale, where pre-loved titles from the BCIS library found new homes at prices that made it easy for families to leave with an armful of reading.

    An after-school event for families

    The fair stayed open after the final bell so parents could browse alongside their children rather than hear about it second-hand. Families who spent 500 THB or more were entered into a lucky draw for gift vouchers to spend at the fair itself.

    BCIS thanks Asia Books for bringing its stock to campus, and the students, parents and staff who took part — from families browsing together after school to pupils giving second-hand library titles a new home.
