    Embracing Thai Traditions

Loy Krathong is one of Thailand's most beautiful cultural celebrations — a festival of light where people float decorated krathongs (small baskets) on water to pay respect to the river goddess and let go of negativity.

At BCIS, we celebrated with a whole-school Loy Krathong event that brought together students, staff and parents for an afternoon of creativity, cultural learning and community spirit.

"Loy Krathong is a wonderful opportunity for our international students to experience authentic Thai culture first-hand. Making krathongs together, learning about the history and celebrating as a community — it is one of the highlights of our school year."

    — Mrs. Ploy Srisombat, Thai Programme Coordinator
