In Their Own Words
We sat down with students from across the school to hear what they think about life at BCIS — their favourite subjects, the friendships they have made and what makes our school special. Here is what they had to say.
"My favourite thing about BCIS is that everyone is friendly. When I started, I didn't know anyone, but within a week I had friends from Korea, Thailand, England and Australia. It's like a mini version of the world!"
— Sofia, Year 6
"I love science because we actually get to do experiments, not just read about them. Mr. Okafor lets us figure things out for ourselves, which makes it so much more interesting."
— Leo, Year 7
"The teachers here actually know your name and care about how you're doing — not just in lessons but as a person. If I'm having a bad day, someone always notices."
— Mia, Year 8
"I was really shy when I moved here from Japan. But the buddy system helped me so much. My buddy showed me around, introduced me to everyone and even helped me with my English. Now I help new students too!"
— Hana, Year 4
"After-school clubs are the best part. I do football on Mondays, coding on Wednesdays and art on Fridays. There's always something fun to do."
— Tawan, Year 5
