    School Values

The principles that guide everything we do at BCIS — in the classroom, on the playground and in the wider community.

    What We Stand For

At BCIS, our values are more than words on a wall. They are lived every day through our teaching, our relationships and the way we care for one another. These values shape confident, thoughtful and compassionate young people.

    Respect

We treat every member of our community with kindness, dignity and understanding. Students learn to respect themselves, others and the world around them.

    Excellence

We encourage every child to strive for their personal best — academically, creatively and socially. Excellence is about effort, growth and achievement.

    Community

BCIS is a family. We build strong relationships between students, staff and parents, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels they belong.

    International Mindedness

We celebrate our diverse community and prepare students to be thoughtful, open-minded citizens of the world. Understanding different perspectives is central to our ethos.

    Curiosity

We nurture a love of learning by encouraging questions, exploration and creative thinking. Curious children become engaged and resilient learners.

    Integrity

We value honesty, responsibility and doing the right thing. Students learn to make good choices and take responsibility for their actions.

    Pastoral Care at BCIS

Every child at BCIS has a form tutor who knows them well and monitors their academic progress, social development and emotional well-being. Our pastoral care system ensures that no child goes unnoticed.

We work closely with parents to support children through transitions, challenges and milestones. Regular communication, an open-door policy and a strong home-school partnership are at the heart of our approach.
